Guild Membership
JOIN IGSD
We aim to support our members at every stage of their career. We offer a membership directory listing on our website for promotion. We organize networking events and social events. We share training and up grading opportunities. We inform members of crew calls for employment and SIPTU information regarding agreement rates and work life balance employment opportunities.
Our guild is a network of experience on all levels and we actively encourage our members to get involved with guild activities, committee roles, subcommittee work and the sharing of useful knowledge. Participation is key and has created a standard that is respected in our film and television community nationally and internationally.

FAQ
Do i have to be a resident of Ireland to apply?
Yes.
How often do you the committee meet to discuss applications?
Quarterly per annum.
I am currently listed as a trainee buyer, however I have been getting work at a higher grade, I have:
- 20 weeks experience as an assistant buyer,
- 10 weeks as set dec co-ordinator,
- 2 weeks as a full buyer and
- 8 weeks as assistant set dec
– can I upgrade to a full assistant buyer?
No, unfortunately you need 40 weeks in one single grade, this is the requirement to upgrade from trainee or any other grade.
I am recently a resident of Ireland and have been working as a set dec in a European country for the past 10 years – I have no referee in Ireland, can I still become a full member?
Yes, send in the required criteria – see join us, links to imbd and any referees in your previous country of residence – we will review your application at the next committee meeting for applicants.
